A Really Big Hole

As I mentioned, Nate didn't waste any time getting started on the house.  By Friday the 18th he was having dirt moved.  It was all done in only about 2 days by an awesome guy named Bill.  Seriously, he's amazing. I can't believe what he can do w/ that huge machine in so little time!  He not only dug the huge hole, but also added dirt to the front of the lot to bring it up by about 3 feet and made piles of all of the extra dirt based on soil type so it could be used for other purposes.  Wow.

Before the dirt was moved, we actually met Nate and Bill at the lot to decide where we wanted the house located and what direction we wanted it angled towards.  We used sticks and strings to draw it out.  Once we were done it seemed like our house would end up really small.  I knew it wouldn't be, but boy can your mind play tricks on you.  When we came back the next morning and saw our really big hole, it suddenly felt like our house was going to be huge!
